What are the common materials for sanitary tubes?
(1) 304 Stainless steel
304 stainless steel is versatile and offers good corrosion resistance, formability, and weldability. Suitable for a variety of hygienic applications including food and beverage processing.
(2) 316/316L Stainless steel
316/316L stainless steel is an austenitic stainless steel with a higher molybdenum content for enhanced corrosion resistance, especially in chloride-rich environments. Commonly used in industries such as pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and marine applications.
Other stainless steel grades such as 304L and 316Ti are also available depending on the specific requirements of the application.
(3) Copper
Copper tubes, especially copper-nickel alloys, is sometimes used in specific applications where its antimicrobial properties, high thermal conductivity and corrosion resistance are an advantage.
(4) Plastic
Certain types of thermoplastics, such as PVC (polyvinyl chloride), CPVC (chlorinated polyvinyl chloride), and PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene), are used for sanitary tube in some non-metallic applications.

6.How to distinguish 304 and 201 stainless steel?
--1). Specification: the Bai composition is different. 304 has better quality and the price is expensive, but 201 is worse. 304 is imported stainless steel plate and 201 is domestic stainless steel plate.
2). 201 is composed of 17cr-4.5ni-6mn-n which is used for railway vehicles.While 304 is composed of 18cr-9ni, which is used for food production equipment, Xitong chemical equipment, nuclear energy, etc.
3). 201 has high manganese content, bright surface with dark brightness, high manganese content and easy to rust. 304 contains more chromium, the surface is matte and does not rust .The most important thing is that the corrosion resistance is different. The 201 corrosion resistance is not as good as that of 304.
4). The difference between 201 and 304 is the problem of nickel. The 304 nickel's content is more than 201.
5). Stainless steel is not easy to rust because chromium rich oxide is formed on the surface of the steel body to protect the steel body. Material 201 belongs to high manganese stainless steel, which has higher hardness, high carbon and low nickel than 304.
